Resolving these issues with your Arlo baby monitor camera is easy with the right steps. You can follow teh troubleshooting steps discussed below.

Arlo baby not streaming video

If your Arlo baby monitor is unable to stream video on the smartphone app, here are some steps you can follow:

Check the WiFi strength for the Arlo baby camera. If the camera isn’t in a good network coverage area, move it closer to the main router/extender.

Ensure that the camera is placed within 6ft distance of the WiFi router. Also, check if there are other wireless devices that might cause interference. Remove them or turn them off if not in use.

Check the battery level on your Arlo Baby Camera Setup. Low battery levels can cause intermittent streaming issues.

Unable to view live Stream on a Web browser

The Arlo Baby Monitor uses an option for offline usage. If that has been turned on, disable the same and then check if the camera is back online. If not, the computer, web browser, or the network that you are using might be causing issues with the same.

Moreover, since the Arlo web client uses the Adobe Flash Plug-in to display camera streams, check if the same is not blocked. Also, try updating the plug-in to the latest version.

If the router that you are using is blocking data ports that Arlo uses, you’ll again find streaming issues with your Arlo baby monitor camera. Ensure that your keep ports 443 and 80 open

Unable to receive push notifications

In order to receive push alerts on your smartphone, it is essential that you are logged in. Once you are logged in, Arlo will register your device for push notifications. If you’re logging out every time you exit the app, you need to stop doing that. If you’re doing that, you will be required to log in to the app.

Furthermore, also check your device settings if the app notifications are disabled. You can access the device settings and then head to the Notifications section to enable or disable the notifications for your Arlo app. Once you have enabled the same, you can close the settings and restart the Arlo app to see if you are now receiving alerts.
